Our beloved John passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday evening. There are no words to describe how much we’ll miss him.

May I also add my condolences to John’s family and friends. He will be sorely missed and I am grateful to have known him as a friend. I will always be thankful for his support and generosity – he was central to my own writing journey. His wonderful poetry will live on. RIP John x

John didn’t know me and I only knew him through his wonderful poetry blog..but it always inspired and challenged me and I will miss his honesty and enthusiasm for life. There will be so many people thinking of his family at this time. Love. Geraldine Snape

I knew John from poetry workshops and loved his humour, his directness and above all his poems which seemed to pour out of him. I will miss him. Doreen
